Oakleigh Cannons FC is pleased to announce the signing of star striker Milos Lujic on a two-year deal.
The former Young Socceroo arrives at Jack Edwards Reserve, reunited with Chris Taylor, who he spent time with at South Melbourne FC.
Lujic has won the VPL/NPL golden boot four times and has scored over 90 goals in over 100 games in his career.
He added he was excited to be playing at Oakleigh with Taylor.
“The club has good aspirations to win the title and hopefully we can win it this year,” Lujic said.
“The only reason why I came was to win a trophy and it’s good to be back with CT. I know he’s a winner and so am I, so hopefully we can combine to win the championship for the first time at Oakleigh.
“I’ve won three titles, but I’m always keen for more and it’s the main reason why I came to the club. I looked at my options and Oakleigh was the best equipped to win a championship. I’ve come across to help out CT and a championship is my main goal.
“With the team we have now, and the squad CT is assembling, I’d expect us to be fighting on all fronts to be honest.
“From the FFA Cup to NPL, hopefully we can get a good cup run, expose some of our better players and get some big crowds at Jack Edwards Reserve again. With the team we’ve got at the moment, we should be fighting on all fronts.”
