The Oakleigh Cannons have been drawn away to Hume City in the seventh round of the FFA Cup.
The two met in the most previous round of NPL Victoria at Jack Edwards Reserve where they played out an entertaining one-all draw.
Oakleigh head coach Chris Taylor says it is just as important to prepare mentally for cup matches with the squad’s depth expected to be tested.
"There are no easy games, if we play as well as we can we're within a shout,” he said.
“The hard thing will be balancing three games in a week...it’s not the physical side but the mental side which is important."
Oakleigh will feel as though they should have escaped with the three points after their most recent meeting against Hume City.
Joe Guest equalised in the 50th minute after Hume City opened the scoring from a penalty early in the first half.
“Hume are probably the best side we’ve played this year,” Taylor said.
“Both have been close games and I feel both sides will accept a draw in the end.”
