Goalscorers were Ricky Diaco in the 44th minute and Hayden Doyle in the 89th minute.

Green Gully opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a goal from Ederado Osagie.

The Cannons equalised from the penalty spot in the 77th minute from Jesse Krncevic and in the 85th minute went ahead with a superb lob over the keeper earning Jesse Krncevic a brace leaving the full time score at 2-1 for the Cannons.

MELBOURNE Heart coach John van’t Schip admits he was blown away by the outstanding debut performance of youth team left back Craig Goodwin in the 0-0 derby draw.

The energetic 20-year-old produced a man-of-the-match performance and would have capped it off with a glorious long-range winner if not for the fingernails of in-form Victory goalkeeper Ante Covic 10 minutes from time.

Newcastle Jets Youth Coach Arthur Papas ( left )

 

Arthur Papas who coached Oakleigh Cannons to their firs ever VPL Grand Final in 2012 and also won the coach of the year as well in his first year in charge is now head coach of A-League club Newcastle Jets Youth Team and also Senior Assistant Coach to Gary Van Egmond for the Newcastle Jets.

 

We wish Arthur all the best in his new position at the Newcastle Jets !

Huss Skenderovicis the new coach of Oakleigh Cannons replacing Arthur Pappas who departed to take on the role of A-League side Newcastle Utd’s Youth team and also one of Garry Van Egmond’s assistants in the seniors.
